William J. Tuttle Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship is in honor of William J. Tuttle, a graduate of H.H. Dow High School.  The Dow High Auto Tech program and the influence of his auto tech teacher changed the trajectory of Bill's life, leading him to complete a Bachelor's Degree at Ferris State University and an MBA at Northwood University. Bill followed his passion and talent and had an amazing career with General Motors where he was a strong advocate of youth entering automotive careers. Bill enjoyed tinkering with cars outside of work and took great pride in restoring a 1970 Chevelle. When Bill was not spending time with family and friends or tinkering in the garage, he could be found enjoying the outdoors hunting or fishing. This $500 scholarship honors the life and legacy of William J. Tuttle and will be awarded to a student who exemplifies his passion and talents. Priority will be given to students who have completed the automotive technology program and are entering any post-secondary program focused on automotive technology.
